Following the bushfire crisis in Jan 2020, a community led partnership project was generated between The Kings School, Parramatta and Sapphire Coast Anglican College in Bega in 2020. This project involved an enthusiastic group of people (made up of parents and staff from the King’s School) working together to run a textbook drive collecting books for donation to the Sapphire Coast Anglican College (SCAC) library. This school community in Bega had been seriously affected by the 2020 bushfires. After collecting, sorting, packing, loading and driving the load south, 48 boxes of books arrived in late November to a very appreciative school community.
