An Art and Cultural Innovation project for Education Precinct

Dr George has been working alongside a group of women at the King’s School (including staff, parents and staff partners) to produce a permanent art exhibit representing community and place connection of the school in the central library space.  The exhibit includes a beautiful indigenous community artwork and its story in an educational video, gifted by a King’s Women’s Network donor.  The exhibition included a plaque with an acknowledgement of Country and video stories of school student’s artworks showing connections to place.  The final part of the exhibit is still in development and involves a video of the stories of the women of the school over close to 200 years. This is a multidisciplinary project that offers a broad cultural and aesthetic value to the school learning spaces and seeks brings great joy as well as cultural and environmental understanding.
